You seem dead set on the 10k. But I'd work with what you have. That 2000 is a solid antenna, just get that top piece grounded. And chances are you will need to shorten the whip once you get the ground issue worked out so that would prevent the whip getting ripped off again.

Might be cheaper to run what you have but have a shaft made..The 10k is also modular to meaning you can buy invidual parts of you break something...
If your stuck on the 10 k..

Looking at your setup that should get the coil just above the roof line.
