Just got off the phone with Kathy from Stevens Transportation. I had answered an ad & they called the next day wanting me in Texas on th 9/08/8. They pulled a bait & switch on me. I went to Roadmasters, passed a PTI but was thrown out because I got sick from being forced to stand in the rain for 10 hours & needed to see a docter. Oh course they had already taken my money. Next I earned my licensce at another school in Tampa but no certificate due to a "special" price break. Today Kathy says I would need to go to their school to get the extra paper for $6,000. I said no I am not paying $6k twice. End of employment. Now back to a job Americans won't do & can't afford to live on!

That is not a bait and switch....Just because they asked you to come to dallas for orientation, does not imply you are hired. Same with every company. Until you have meet all of their qualifications, and have that piece of paper, they will all tell you the same. One needs to do thier own research, and understand all the hoops one must jump through to be hired.
I would be suing the roadmaster school to get my certificate that you have already passed. Other than that you have created your own bad idea that things just did not go your way, and everyone did not line up to serve your desires. -
steven trans is the worst company ever! way worse than swift ever thought about being, they lie so much they believe theirselves! I told them i had a felony, they told me, no prob we offer training ect.. then when it came time to go to dallas,,o were sorry you dont meet our hiring criteria..but i served no jail time ms spencer remember i told you that? yes i do but im to much of a b***ch to tell you up front that we wont hire you, were gonna get all your hopes up first then crush your dreams later! but its ok cuz i found a better school and company sponsored training and all they care about is your driving record, felonies are ok but no violent or drug charges, and no jail time.

And what kind of health problems do you have if you have to be seen by a doctor after you got rained on in the middle of September???
Another thing. You are trying to imply that there was a day in September with continuous 10 hours lasting rain? We didn't have it here even when Ike was passing through. And Tampa ain't that far from Jax.
And to get booted because you had to see a doctor is another load of crap. We've had quite a few students in my class who missed a couple of days or were late for various reasons an all their "punisment" was that they had to make up for the hours they missed.
People please quit lying, making false accusations and making excuses for your own incompetence. The rep on these big companies is bad enough without it.
I'm going with Stevens even after reading 27 pages of mostly horror stories. See I don't have any illusions that they waiting somewhere for my ##### to start driving for them and I'll have to start at the bottom and work my way up.
My 2 cents.
