Predator 10k help, advise needed

It would not hurt to get a heavy duty stud mount...It takes some of the flex out of the antenna..
This is the one I use and it is great compared to the ones in the truck stops..
It even holds my huge Monkey made solid..

That is the strongest one I have ever found..It works really well.

 

Dont rely on swr to tell you your set up is at its peak..Like i mentioned before,find a sgop or someone with an analyzer to see where your resistance and resonance is..your r#should be anywhere between 36 and 50 and your x# should be as close as possible to 0 on ch ..Resonance is not always at best swr either but i preferr a better resonance than swr but both are usually close..

Lol..I tried a different set up on my cascadia...Couldnt get what i was doin to work so back to my tall set up..Was tweeking and suddenly i have WTF moment..Everything was wayyy off..Turned out i broke my 10k coil...So i grab a new one and go to tune and i realized,i have two less wrapps on this coil..No wonder it didnt tune where i had my old whip marked..
Retuned and im just a hair over 13'6",guess ill be goin around new york rather than through on my way south..
Ill have to measure to chk for sure to see if and how much im over but by eyeball i look taller..
