I got popped by the road pirates in w. Memphis AR.
Both mud flaps were missing on my 2016 kw.
Cop was a dick. We went back and forth.
Told him to shut up and go write his revenue collection tickets.
I gladly paid Ark the $250 fine, and kept my word to the state that I would NEVER spend another dime there. And I never did. I got fuel before or after the state, bought all food and cigaretts before or after the state. I am glad I am local. If the road pirates pull me here hauling hazmat, I will just laugh at them now. Write it up, the boss knows what's wrong. I give the tickets to the boss. Could really care less anymore. Just pay it and move on unless you can go to court and get judge to change your charges but keep the fines. If you're gonna stay OTR

Good for you. For some reason by making an appearance they will bargain with you. I have had two other tickets reduced substantially by just showing up.

When you go to court. I had a pow wow with the DA at the courthouse.
They might listen to your argument, reason for the violation. Find or fix you entry that was missing. The DA or Judge might drop that violation.
Tell the DA you will pay the fines, just ask him to change the charges to something like not having you DL with you or something else that won't affect your CSA.PSP.

I'm just saying try to reason with them. That is what the justice system is.
ITs not about justice, its about revenue.
    Good luck.

I called Interstate Trucker LTD a few years ago for an alleged(really, it was!) moving violation while driving a gas tanker. Local lawyer handled the whole thing, got probation before judgement, YMMV. I've also used Road Law. Didn't get as good as a result, but I have no complaints about the service.

With ITL, it was a local ticket and I asked if I had to show up to court, and the lawyer said, "Only if you want to." I said, "So I don't need to?" "Nope". I didn't lose any time from work.

I recommend ITL for your current situation. They are at interstatetrucker.com

Good luck. You need to take action to protect your CDL.

One good thing that is happening is the fact that the company's are realizing that productivity is dropping like a rock with e-logs
And I hope they lose millions.

Call the DA and ask him if you can do court supervision off the record.

Also ask if this can be done without missing anymore work time for it is already a very expensive lesson for you.

If he agrees? You will not have to show for court. The trooper was just being an ##*.

If he agrees? They take your money same as a lawyer wants too and none of this will show.

Just don't get in anymore trouble until time served or it will all show.

    Governed truck with warning???
If you can prove it, I would do it.
Thats just a warning, probably best to leave it alone.

    Good luck.

Call OOIDA they will know of a good lawyer. How many minutes were you over? Did you use 'I'm on a way to a safe heaven as my last choice was filled up with other trucks? The gap I would ask your log department I assume your on Elogs.... Get a lawyer those are big points for you and the company

Just pay the fine. The judge likely doesn't understand hours of service or log books/e logs. He is going to side with the cop no matter what.
