Every year government allow thousands eastern europians to immigrate in the USA and force them to get CDL.
Why?
Because America need drivers who can work without whining.G13Tomcat and pigeon river trucking Thank this. -
Eastern Europe hands out drivers licence without the need to be able to drive.
I think they get their licences in the local supermarket.Snailexpress Thanks this. -

I don't want to dig too deep into this subject but I'll share my experience. I started driving on the east coast and met many drivers from Eastern Europe. Then, I moved out west and have worked with and have met many drivers from Mexico and Central America.
Like I stated, I do not want to dig deep into this and offend anyone especially in light of our political situation but I'll say that even though many people from abroad with work for less wages (a totally different discussion) I've yet to meet anyone that didn't work their ### off. I've encountered a tremendous work ethic from those from abroad. Unfortunately, Ive met more from here that complain and don't wanna drive at night or work 16 hours etc. At the end of the day, we are a country built from immigration. I'm a third generation Irishman (insert potato joke). I'll agree that the wages have gone down but what are we to do? We chose this career, let's make the best of it, have fun, and take care of our families.TPS Report, truck_guy, G13Tomcat and 8 others Thank this.
