So you have to pay for the entire schooling twice? That's the entire 2500 after the initial 500? I'd be in trouble if that happened.

I'm not sure how that works honestly. Your recruiter will be able to give you those answers. One of my classmates left after a week for personal reasons. She was intending to come back, but she didn't tell me those details.

Like mana from heaven...I got to Cartersville and was given a different load than the one Opie was talking about, and it's more miles! That's going to give me 2975 for the week. I'll probably have to reset tomorrow night, but that was likely to happen anyway. Time to fuel up and head out :)

Do they do detention pay, or break down pay at all, or if you are broken down, does millis pay for the hotel?

$20 an hrs after 1.5 hrs for detention and I can't remember what layover pay is. It's not much if remember right. And they will put you up in hotel if truck is at kenworth

I've seen them put a driver up in a hotel if their truck is at a terminal as well. Not sure how common that is, but I've seen that a couple times.

OK, quick question. Were we all supposed to get all drugged up before driving today and I just didn't get the memo? My god, people are driving like idiots today. Like WAY more than normal. And not just cars, other truckers too. I am 9 hours from my drop tomorrow. I fully intended to get about 100 miles or so closer, in case dispatch wanted to send me to a terminal for my reset. I won't have drive time left now, but I needed to get off the road. People are nuts today, and I think that I would have lost my mind if I stayed out any longer. On the upside, I landed at one of my favorite truck stops. Danny's Food & Fuel Plaza, I-24 exit 89 in TN. If you get a chance to stop, you HAVE to try the chicken tenders. They are amazing, and gigantic. Tomorrow I'm heading to the Menards DC in Plano, Illinois. I love that place. Really organized and always in and out quick. After that who knows. Opie may very well try to work his magic and find a run that allows a reset. But because of how my hours are going to fall, I doubt it. That's cool, I'll happily take a day off. Sleeping in never sucks lol. Well, that's about all I have for the day. Be safe out there, and keep the rubber side down. Peace y'all.

It must be an anomaly in the Menards group. Most of their stores are really ssssllllooowww to unload, and are a sea of disorganization.
