how do i know what lines carry oil water or air lol? I have three heat exchangers in the front... would the third be tran cooler? I cant even tell where this cooler is located, much less what lines go to it lol
-
Every coolant trans cooler ive seen is on top of the trans. Youll have to trace the lines. Check for coolant lines running to top of trans.
-
evertything is so tight up in there
i kinda see red drops here and there in that area but couldnt tell if its red tran oil or coolant lol. some of them i couldnt even reach...

Could you're coolant leak be inside the motor and pushed out the exhaust. Wouldn't smoke much if it was a slow leak.
Good luck.BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
nope. if there is a hole in the gasket, not only the coolant would get into engine but exhaust would push into coolant. I absolutely would expect to lose coolant through overflow hose if there was a hole between exhaust gases and coolant...

Top of the transmission, where the stick is bolted to.serozhah Thanks this.
-
It can happen.

Had a coolant-transmission unit go bad. The stuff in the transmission turned green. Never could get the cooling system really clean. The transmission had to be replaced about three months later.serozhah Thanks this.
