Now to sound like a dick, stop posting replies I directly asked everybody not too. I've already imagined everything that could be dreamt up on my situation and question other then the info I'm looking for on the air support. If anybody has any I'd be very thankfully to hear it, that's why I joined this forum to talk to people that want to help with my actual question, not paranoid mommies.

For sure you need to upgrade axles. First off the components of a 12k axle won't handle that safely for long. If the beam does hold up, you've got smaller springs, kingpins, wheel ends, bearings, spindles, rims, brakes. The whole 9 yards is too weak. Find a 20k takeoff. Maybe $2000-$4000 complete. Look for one that has good kingpins. You might even find a brand new takeoff for under $3500 complete with brakes and drums. Not a hard job to switch out. New springs, hangers, everything. I think it's easier than replacing kingpins, I've done both btw. Easy rolling old out and new in. At least look for a 14k at the least. You'll be glad you did

Don't take it so serious I just wanted an answer on the air assist, I don't know how much more exact I have to make my question, I guess looking back it was my fault in the first place on the way I posed my question, giving everyone my situation and truck details clearly changed this from a simple answer from the people I need the info from to an argument about an axle, so for that I'm sorry, and by the way I'm not pounding down the highway all day with my lift axles up, it's for brief moments in the work zone, I've seen hundreds of non factory dump trucks running around on 12k fronts, with the tags down there under that, it's no different for me so I don't see why some of you can't get that through your head. Again I'm not piss pounding it all day with 18k on my steer axle, it's for short moments going slow in a work zone until the truck is empty.

Seriously, an air assist won't last long. The airbags for that system are not set up for the weight. You'll be constantly blowing them and replacing them. Financially speaking, the air assist will cost you more in the
Long run. Is that more of the answer you were looking for? If not I can lie to you and say, "yup it will help you a bunch". But that's just not the case. But hey if you want to drop the coin on it, by all means go for it. Your money, your business. Go for it. I'm sure the guys selling it will tell you, yup it's just what you need. But common sense should tell you it's the wrong thing to do.

Is that a Better answer for you?

All I will say is, if the metal has any flaws you will know soon enough.

The weight alone without movement will find the weak spot.
