Yup just a little more info there bud.
You've only narrowed it down to a peterbuilt between 1978 to 1999.

I'm interested to hear why he wants to take out the 3406. Of all the engines to swap for a 6nz, that would be the last one I chose....unless it's beyond repair

I liked my B much more than my 6NZ.

Why is that, rank? Is it easier to up-rate a mechanical motor?

I'd say it's easier because you don't need a computer. But that's not why I'd keep the B model. Just think there's better ways to spend a boat load of money than swapping out one of the best engines ever built. Not really sure what will be gained. Fewer oil leaks maybe?

I get it but why not just buy a factory 6NZ truck and save the work? Only reason I can think of is it's a 99 model year and the 3406 is junk.
