I'll pull on exit ramp and get on entrance if I have to pee bad enough
But for crapping I aim for rest areas. Pull in parking and you're right at the building . No fuss of a truck stop and back on the road.

You can cut back on the pop (not good for you anyway) or you can pee as you drive, the only problem with that is it smells bad and you have to change your clothes when you finally do pull over and stop!Grubby, Crude Truckin', tucker and 2 others Thank this.

I drink a lot of water, and have always stopped every 2 hrs to pee and walk around for a couple minutes.
Most megas only dispatch at around 45-50mph, you don't have time to stop and watch movies but you'll have time to pee. -
If you shake it more than 3 times, you have to log ON DUTY NOT DRIVING.That also goes for if you're dropping the kids off in the pool, and you grunt hard enough to bulge the blood vessels in your forehead...on duty not driving.

1. You should always drink to stay hydrated. It is necessary to maintain a healthier body. If your body gets dehydrated, your mental capabilities diminish a bit, reaction time diminishes, kidney function diminishes. Urinating is a natural and necessary bodily function that flushes away toxins.
2. What you drink matters. There are only 2 beverages that you should drink that, A: don't add calories, B: keep you hydrated, C: don't add unnecessary additives into your system.
Those are water & coffee black (no sweeteners or creamers)
If you're looking for a caffeine kick for energy, eat an apple or a banana. Both do more for energy that a soda or coffee plus provide a nutritional benefit.
Caffeine in moderation is a good thing. It helps stimulate the senses naturally and is a natural pain killer.
3. You should be stopping every 150-200 miles anyway. Do your restroom breaks then and walk and stretch for 5 minutes. Sitting behind the wheel for 10-11 hours a day and just pulling over on a shoulder/on/off ramp doesn't qualify. You need to loosen your limbs and stretch your legs, so to speak. It helps get the circulation going and could possibly prevent blood clots and DVT, both possibly fatal.
4. Drinking soda or energy drinks or coffee that is loaded up with sugar will definitely shorten your life span. You're adding hundreds , if not a couple thousand extra calories to your body, in addition to the food you consume.
You're putting yourself in danger of developing Type 2 diabetes, adding pounds to your weight, which increases your risk of heart attack/heart disease, stroke, and more.
In closing, if an individual that consumes soda (regular or diet) by the gallon were to stop and drink nothing but water, that individual will lose 20-30 lbs over 6 months and improve their health drastically.
We already work in an industry that leans toward a lethargic lifestyle (except you skinny flat bedders), those 5 minute breaks make a world of difference.
P.S. I crack up whenever I'm behind a guy weighing 300+ lbs and he orders 5 Big Macs, an extra large order of fries, and a super sized diet soda. It would be more humane and less painful in the long run to put a gun in his mouth and pull the trigger.hal380 Thanks this. -
You guys are so boring...here's how a REAL trucker does it...get yourself a case of Depends and a case of great tasting beer...put the hammer down and don't stop till you get to the receiver!

I'm going to stop every 2 1/2 hours to use the bathroom. And like a half hour before i stop i'll chug my water. Probably a lot easier and quicker to pull off on the side of the road and use a pee jug.
