I wouldn't even go into Florida for $2.50 a mile yet alone $1.50

    8 days on the load?

The rates pay what every the spot market will handle. Unless you know someone that has special rates. Most people want to move the loads for the cheapest rate they can.

That's why I'm back to driving company truck. The freight rates suck!

Maybe you suck at negotiating? I know someone in central IL that could've got that rate (both ways) up and made it so that they made over $500/day minus fuel. Might not be ideal, but it'll pay the bills.

That's exactly the kind of information I am looking for.

Not trying to dog anybody, just looking for some truth.

If I get less than $750 per day after fuel I consider it a bad day lol
