Sure he will. Maybe talk to @boredsocial. He's a broker. Real nice guy. Believes in human nature and looks out for his fellow man.

I like to keep about 20k all the time on my business account. Not always possible but if I go below I feel nervous. That is, if I go below, I work my ### off to bounce back to feel comfortable. So 20k is the magic number for me to feel secure.OLDSKOOLERnWV, Jeck and rank Thank this.

Times 2 @rank. Right to the point......lmaospyder7723 and rank Thank this.

Step 1: get a CDL
Step 2: Research
Step 3: Wiggle your way into OPP...and learn on their equipment (as been mentioned before)
I was like you, back in June, 2016....then reality hit me, after a salesman took pity on my naivette. He told me to go learn the trade, before tryna lose my butt....and learn the non-driving issues too, else DOT/FMCSA will hang me dry.
So...all I'm saying is slow your horse, cowboy, else it might buck and throw you off.Jeck Thanks this. -
I didn't look at the ad but no. Just buy the longest good you can find and go straight to the dealer and have them add 24" to the shifter. If you can shift sitting down its too short. Oh and they don't teach securement at CDL school so flatbed is a good choice out of the gate. What you don't figure out the DOT will be happy to show you.Last edited: Mar 8, 2017
OLDSKOOLERnWV, spyder7723 and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
Have you became a O/O yet?
-
@Jeck
Not yet...I've been this >.< close lol though...
I even got approved by arrow truck for a $45K trucks with 8K down...but I'm more of wanting to get a driver. I have other obligations (small business) that I cannot step away from ...yet
My fear has been to buy a truck, then give it to some driver that will jack it up....or worse, quit on me, and I cannot even operate my own equipment (hence getting a CDL on my own)
The time I've spent between transitioning from CDL-leaners to now, has allowed me to learn more & more of the industry...and I look back and cannot believe that I actually wanted to buy a truck with ZERO/LITTLE knowledge of the industry.
All I had were visions of grandiose. Thankfully, I met people who told me to slow it down.Jeck Thanks this. -
Thanks for your honesty.
