Oh, we are....lol....We found a rental over there and will be moving in in a few weeks. Have to wait for Wayne to get back to fix the a/c on the place before we can move in. For fixing the a/c we don't have a deposit or rent for the last month so it was a deal! Don't think a judge will kill me for just moving across river to where rent is cheaper....lol....Once i get over there, i will file for support again.
Wayne is on his way now. He has to deliver to Phoenix by 3am to a Albertsons. He is carrying a heavy load...1 pallet of frozen fish...lmao....He picks up the next load after that at 11am. in Phoenix. He has to make 2 stops with that load. At least he is on the road now. Central wasn't bad for training. He knew things like this could happen, just not on his first load...lol...Hopefully he can get more then the 2300 miles before Wednesday but glad he at least got 2300.

Thanks King. He is doing ok. They were supposed to fix his trailer before he left, but the alarm is going off on it right now. He doesn't have much further to get to Phoenix so it should be fine til then.

Mannmk, stuff happens. It's gonna happen no matter where you go. If you get into trucking, you are gonna have to expect things to go wrong. Central has been a good starter company. It pays the most for training, so it is your call.

Keep that positive outlook. That's what people have been trying to do since I came to this site in May, when I asked, "How will the bad economy effect truck driving"? :biggrin_25526:

Hope things get better as I said. :yes2557:

Well , as others have mentioned, refrigerated is a good bet. People are always gonna need food. Wayne is a journeyman electrician by trade. He went to trucking because of the economy. It has been tough the first couple months, don't get me wrong, but we knew it would be. We are always trying to stay positive. He will get getting at least 2300 miles this week. He would have had more if not for the trouble his first load. He is in Phoenix, waiting to unload. They won't let him unload his 1 and only pallet until the 3am deadline. Will take them a whole minute to unload it. He is gonna get some sleep until then. With trucking, you gotta let them know you want those miles. We need them to make up for lost time....lol...He plans on staying out for 3 weeks before he comes home for his time off. It's gonna be tough without him here, but we will make it. The cell phone is a great thing. It makes it seem not so lonely. Hopefully you find a company you feel comfortable at.

Welcome to Central Reefer... lol Swift with refrigerated trailers. And yes... training is essentially a scam... a way to lock you in to low paid servitude for 1-2 years. So make sure ya read the fine print. Nothings free anymore folks. If it looks too good... it is. Especially in trucking.
