Most of my truck driving experience so far, nearly 3 years, has been in Kenworths(t700/ t680) and Freightliner Cascadias. Never driven a peterbilt, international, nor a mack. The only other truck I've driven was a Volvo 670. I drove it for about 4 months. Here's the thing, I always had problem seeing traffic in front of the rear view mirror. If I was at an intersection, sometimes it would seem that the coast was clear and I'd get to moving and then a car would zoom by because the mirror on my side was blocking it.

I never had this problem with the rear views on the freightliners and kenworths. It seems like the volvo mirror is too long or something.

Anybody else ever had this issue?

I have the same issue with my FL Coronado. It's aggravating as hell but I can lean up and back to make sure I'm not about to miss something headed my way.

    NoobiDriver Thanks this.

Like any vehicle, whether it be a car or a truck, they all have their blind spots and it's something that you will get used to and eventually be more aware of it over time.

NoobiDriver and Broke Down 69 Thank this.

I have the same issue with my Mack. I make sure I look around the mirror after scaring myself a couple of times.

NoobiDriver and Socal Xpress Thank this.
