I hauled crude oil for over 4 years. Hobbs, New Mexico. Home every night. Took truck and trailer to the house with me. Loved it. A lot of off road driving. Lots of fun. Good money. Drove for BlueKnight Energy Partners. Good times.

How was the time off set up? What made you leave, and would you do it again? Any tips on what I should look into in regards to how the tanker operates? I've driver military tankers but not civilian so I'll be needing to learn. Trying to find some tips. Thanks

5 days on/ 2 off, next week 5 on/ 3 off. I would go back to that time in a beat. Hubby got transfer so we packed the dogs and left. I do miss it.

I left in Sept., I had moved into management for crude oil hauling, my first two years we were making about 100.00 a load traveling 30 miles round trip, guys I was hiring in before I left were making 57.00 for same mileage. 14 hr day you might pull off 5 loads, this was based out of Midland TX running Orla , wickett, iraan , San Angelo areas

It's a hell of lot more than 30 miles round trip from Midland to Orla, Wickett, Iraan, and San Angelo. Do you mean you were based out of those towns?
