It could simply be that they've invested money and things that many of us don't know about that uh put them thin on the books so to speak so they're looking for an infusion of cash by way of an IPO dot dot dot just throwing out a possible scenario

Good Morning, glad to see y'all waking up.
sealevel, Opus and freightwipper Thank this. -
Schneider pays by the lane rate not contract rate.

You mean the resort is going to get gravel!?!??

Hey, now, y'all know it took the same amount of concrete to fill the pot holes in the driveway at the Dallas OC as it took to build the Hoover Dam. That's where all the money went!

You know I'm no fan of the pumpkin so don't interpret this as making excuses for them. But it's very possible the rate was cut to keep the loads.
An example of this that just happened to me: Last week i was running loads for just under a grand and we had over a hundred to keep us working for the next few weeks. This customer was using several different carriers and each carrier was awarded a certain amount of loads. I committed to them the previous week. Then Monday the rate was dropped a hundred bucks for the future loads (but stayed the same on the ones already booked) thursday the agent called and informed me there wouldn't be anymore. He had given back a hundred loads because the customer wanted us to match a new bid offer they got from another carrier. He knew we wouldn't run them for the new rate they paid, which was several hundred lower than the original rate, so just gave them all back. -
But I'm on my wayou home to go to bed.

Yes to some degree. But stock evaluation can change a good amount by 1 financial report or even a forecast. What is happening lately and recent trends are the most important. Schneider will make a pitch to the investment banks prior to the IPO. They may outline recent strategies. Whatever strategies they pitch along with recent financial reports will have an effect on the market value.
Market value often has a lot to do with speculation.SingingWolf and gentleroger Thank this. -
This shipper is one Schneider has had in my over 2 years here.. loads and rates never use to change.
Customers like this the loads would always pay the same week after week, month after month besides a slight change in FSC until contract time was up. We have a lot of contract freight here.
Anyway point was what I made before, I rarely ever use to see rates cuts... now it's happening nearly on a daily basis across the board.
This was yet another one I came across I just noticed.
Not only that but 36% cut in FSC in one week? Wtf
So our FSC is now just like what at fuel discount is at the pump? Whatever they randomly decide to steal from us for that week?TennMan Thanks this. -
IDK........I see loads all the time that are the exact same loads, yet the rates are different......weird. Maybe Schneider Corp. is booking some and Schneider Logistics is booking some
