Ive gotten rid of a bad trailer like a hot potato once or twice Id be lying if I did say otherwise. It's human, sue me.

However... getting a bad trailer in need of some loving on it with a stack of tools and bolts etc plus parts it is a real pain. I cannot believe how they can be so abused schlepping freight and never loved on. Ugh.

Got some lazy drivers out there me thinks. No time for a shop.

NEVER EVER put any piece of equipment on a public road with a known defect.

generally 10% of trailers and a bit less than that of tractors sit idle while drivers lounges are filled with people telling stories and watching either TV or internet.

Don't worry, that freight will move. Just need someone big enough to get down into that pit and empty it out and then empty the yard of loads.
