if you look at how they pay company drivers why would anyone think it would be any different with an ic. at least as an ic you have a choice to decide if its not worth it, a company driver just takes it straight up the....

There's lots of freight in North Dakota I usually reload there but I also pull a refer

Yep, you won't leave my area for good rates at all. 1.48 if you want to to to Arizona, 1.50 to go down to the Dallas area, around a buck to go anywhere else that actually has decent rates.
Massive drop compared to just 18 months ago. Better freight goes in and out of here on Schneider trailers, but only pulled by Schneider trucks.izifaddag, mxpx148, TennMan and 1 other person Thank this. -
Alot of your great freight gets brokered out too. I've hauled Schneider loads for LS that paid beyond generous on numerous occasions.CJndaTruck and spyder7723 Thank this.

That would be interesting to see. Rates on load posted on choice, and a sister (identical) load brokered out......

Someone posted an example between page 900-950.

It was a ft Wayne load from Chicago that if I remember paid the outside carrier something like $450 more then it was posted on the choice board. If I get time, I'll try to find it. -
I don't think the IPO is because of a problem. I think it's because the owners want to cash out but still keep partial ownership.
Probably not. Not everyone sees the same loads & we see different rates on the same loads. Lots of board manipulation going on.
As far as the miles the board shows, the loaded miles used to be with in 5% of actually odometer miles, but not anymore.TennMan Thanks this. -
I've looked and can't seem to find the exact post, but I remember it was a Schneider logistics load the guy was talking about. It was something like $400-500 more then guys were getting on the choice board. I wish I could find it.
SingingWolf, sealevel and TennMan Thank this. -
Used to pick up a load when I lived in south Arkansas. The rate Schneider was supposedly running it for was far less that others were getting the same load for from brokers off of a load board. Same product, same receiver, same live load and unload.

Buying a company that has great cash flow can really help the bottom line. Think of this Watkins contracts pay net 30 most Schneider pays in 90 to 120 days. That purchase of Wakins makes them a lot better cash flow wise.
Folks your not dealing with Chris F. Your dealing with the Schneider Family....there pretty smart people. For every million the family makes they may spend 10% on drivers etc because they then have a Zero tax rate.
Be Safe Out There
Captain Davemilehunter43 and Sipesh Thank this.
