On the radio noise I had the same issue...Ended up replacing the antenna stud and cleaning all the connections on the antenna, under the coil where the threads were and the whip itself where it goes into the base with the 2 hex screws..
It helped but then I ran a ground strap from the antenna mount to a door hinge bolt..Problem gone!
I think the mirror bolts ground it to the door but the door is not a great ground to the cab.bored silly Thanks this. -
Its not a ground for the ant..Its just helping to get rid of static is all..I have braded straps on my door hinges and graffite in with wheel brg oil..Helped..If you have a ant thats not fibreglass, cover all metal parts(except whip) with some 100 mph tape or shrink tube tape helps too..

EZ Money and bored silly Thank this. -
Sounds like a ground issue. It's a crapcadia right......
-
Ok if it's a ground issue where on the antenna/antenna mount should I run a ground from. And should I just find something under the hood that's a ground to run to?
-
I don't never have had noise issues of any kind... one word ferrite's pronounced phar rites

I've got the birdpirch mount that mounts to the mirror bolts. It's been this way since nov. noise just started a few weeks back though.

Run a strap across the door hinge, verify metal to metal contact on both ends.

There are two different grounds..Electrical grounds like in your power and ground wire and theres a ground plane(metal under the ant)..On the cascadias we dont have frig all metal so this is where ground straps on the hinge will help some..Keepem under 10"............If you have another ant to try,try and see if you have same issue just narrow down if its ant or not..
