Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I seem to have attracted the attention of AKJ. This is the third night in a row that I've gotten a load assignment very late in the evening (after 11:00pm) directly from AKJ himself.

The one I had today was nice. Drove 10:40 of my 11. Looks like the one tomorrow (take a pre-loaded trailer to Groveport) will be the same. 676 total miles. So I ain't complaining.

I got hometime starting Friday, though, so they're gonna hafta pull a rabbit out of their hat to get me home before Midnight Thursday. Maybe a load of plastic containers from Columbus to Sabra?

Looks like a Volvo, have you tried to switch your cruise on and off three times and then bump up your RPM?
Works with mine, I can idle without shutting down.

 

What about setting trailer brake and release tractor brake? Always bump up your RPM.

 

Please tell me that you have a bunk heater.
I'd be finding that sensor and adding some hand warmers to it.

 

No bunk heater?

 

My Volvo would run doing the Cruise Control thing... I used it more in the summer for AC than winter as the bunk heater would make it a sweat box in that cab.

Maybe they "fixed" that...
