Why move there? Worst country in the world. Better off running for big freight and just going there regularly

Being able to go from one state to the other is the biggest draw. I love otr but the runs from canada to the usa and back are limited. Being paid in us dollars is another bonus. Quite a few friends are Americans as well. I currently run out of Winnipeg and our runs are primarily a Winnipeg to WI, IL and up to Toronto and over to wpg.

Probably harder than ever to immigrate there with Trump in charge unless you're married to an american

You mean you can't just walk across the border and gain citizenship?
gokiddogo Thanks this. -
They are refusing entry of nurses and doctors who currently have jobs in Michigan so chances are slim for you. Imagine how the hospital had to deal with suddenly getting short staffed

WINDSOR, CANADA -- Canadian nurses attempting to go to work at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit were denied entry into the United States last week because of President Donald Trump's immigration ban.
According to a report from CBC News, advanced practice nurses and nurse anesthetists are being rejected by border officials as they are no longer protected due to the immigration ban. Some are also having issues renewing their visas.
It's important to note that not all Canadians are banned because of the immigration policy, as NAFTA visas cover the majority of the 30,000 to 40,000 Canadians working in the United States.
The advanced practice nurses and nurse anesthetists may apply for a special visa in order to work in the U.S., however, those applications can cost up to $4,000, according to the report.
The issue may be cleared up temporarily as two federal judges have blocked Trump's travel ban for the time being.Last edited: Mar 18, 2017

Don't do it. Just don't. It's not all it's cracked up to be, and that was before cheetoman.
Macneil Thanks this.
