you made the right choice ethos, i worked at superior for 2.5 years and they are a good company. i always liked the terminal in pasadena , laporte or what ever they call it. on hwy 146 i think. the deer that walk around at night are used to the roar of the chemical company across the street when it's flair is roaring.don't ever waste your time at heniff, i did sad to say. bad memories. i'd rather think about good times at superior. you made a wise choice. good luck and stay safe......
Quitting Trimac and heading to Superior.

Good luck man. I enjoyed my time with Superior. Solid and professional company. My terminal manager tried his best to get me a local position before I left. I thought that was something that really separated the company from the rest.
ethos Thanks this. -
I am, surprisingly the truck hasn't been in the shop in over a month except for a PM. I came pretty close to throwing in the towel but now I'm slowly digging myself out of the financial hole that I drove into..
I did $71k, could probably do 75ish now with recent pay raises. And you can stay running, I did 8-10 weeks out but that is also because there isn't much inbound to Auburn. -
Wish you well, Hope you found a home there

I didn't pick Heniff for a variety of reasons. First, he made it sound like safety was up your butt too much.
The recruiters did not impress me, when I signed on. Still don't. As for safety, I get left alone, but there is a lot of huffing and puffing, but there is only so much you can do of that before you lose the drivers that built the company, and get left with drivers that are a liability........ But freight still seems good with them.
But there are changes happening in the industry, and sad to say it seems like it's getting worse rather than better. And I suspect it's that way for all tank companies.ethos, slim shady and Shock Therapy Thank this. -
@cuzzin it
Do you make your $500. bonus every month? local I only get $175. a month but only lost it once.
And the tire pass thing, I'm thinking it probably works to your benefit, When the fuel lanes are 3 or 4 deep you can pull right into the tire pass lane( there always open) and fuel while their checking your tires.77fib77, ethos and Shock Therapy Thank this. -
Yes, at least full bonus 2/3 time. Tirepass is "meadow wafers" and I think of it as my 30 minute break, because it basically is.... And it's required at least 50% of fuelings. But you gotta be ready to prove it because some one in Joliet does not have their act together (imagine that...)
if I lived in Chicago, I would want your job, it looks like best one in the companyShock Therapy and slim shady Thank this. -
Yes no complaints here.
And now back to the Superior thread, Sorry for the mini hijack Ethosethos Thanks this. -
Not a problem, these threads are for future drivers so if the info is job related then throw it out there. That's why I titled it the way I did. People who search for Trimac or Superior in the future will hit on this.elabar, CasanovaCruiser, Shock Therapy and 1 other person Thank this.
