Why are there so many Eastern European immigrants that drive trucks?

Going rate for East Europeans in Chicagoland is 50 CPM so you expect to be paid $1.50 a mile as a company driver???You must have some very unique skills like teleporting trucks or something.
To the point,it's a simple job that doesn't require any particular skills while at the same time pays decent money.This is why many East European immigrants do it.

 

Orientations?Ain't nobody got time for that!There aren't any orientations at EE companies.If you have any experience you go for 15 minutes road test and if you fresh from school you go on the road with another driver for a week or so (I been 3 days and even got paid $200 for it) then you start making money.

 

I wouldn't have a problem with the immigrant drivers if they actually played by the rules. But far too many think hos is just a suggestion that can ignored.

Vast majority of EE drivers don't read this forum anyway so there is no reason to hold off.

 

It is good way to start from scratch. And believe me we all start from scratch when we migrated to USA . Driving for six months and you can buy you own truck , year later truck is paid off , next step is buying trailer then in couple of years buying apartments are small house (cash) . and so on. We don't work for less pay. We are just used to saving money and living with little. Hope you got my point.
