Well I'm probably gonna be joining you guys possibly in may unless I can get my stuff for the April 6 class but It's gonna be difficult to get my permit so fast. Any tips on passing the permit quickly? My test I took online I kept getting 70% ....
Steelersjunkie and SHOJim Thank this. -
There is a GP run from Cedar Springs Georgia to Mogadore Ohio (20 minutes from home) and a Smuckers run from Orrville Ohio (also 20 minutes from home) to Fairburn Georgia. I'd love to get those as dedicated, that would be amazing
And I'm not above begging lol.

Today's post finds me in North Manchester Indiana. I took my load from Baltimore to it's final this morning. I sat for 4 hours after check-in before they finally assigned me to a dock. Holy hour killer, Batman. That didn't leave me with a lot of time when I was unloaded. My next load was 3 miles down the road, and it was a drop and hook. Fantastic luck there. So now I'm sitting at a Citgo on SR 13. I reminded Opie that I need my B service, and requested to go to Cartersville to have it done. Normally I get sent to Trenton for truck service. The mechanics there are fantastic and they are really nice guys. However... My truck will be in the garage for the better part of a day, and I'll have time to do a reset. There's no way I'm doing a reset there if I have options. There's simply nothing to do around there. The guys in Cartersville do a great job as well, and the local options are much more appealing. Being the awesome guy he is, Opie gave me this load to drop in Richfield. I am picking up a load there that delivers Monday in Atlanta. From there, it's off to Cartersville. I got my payroll email yesterday, last week's miles were almost exactly 3k. Not bad at all. Catch y'all tomorrow, time to call the little lady.

All you can really do is keep repeating the tests. After a few runs you'll find that you're retaining more than you realize. Just stick with it. Those tests are incredibly repetitive and boring, but a necessary hurdle on the way to the driver's seat. Hang in there

Yup, that's what I do. There isn't a better way.

Hey you're like 30 minutes or something from my city. That's pretty cool. Thanks for the encouragement I'm going to start Tuesday taking the tests if everything goes good. Guess I might as well plan on may or maybe even June. Are the classes 7 days a week 8-5 or something? Or do you get weekends "off"?
Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -
You'll get the weekends off. I just stayed at the hotel, didn't feel like a 500 mile round trip journey. There was plenty to do locally. I noticed that there is a BW-3 now close to the hotel I stayed at. It would've been nice if that was open when I was in school

Nice I got approved at another place and they train 7 days a week no break but same amount of training time except otr training. I also feel that.42/mile during training is better.

Hope my husband gets lots of those lol, that passes through our neck of the woods..
