I think the companys that flood the roadways with cell phone holders should be responsible for a LOT more than they they are currently culpable for. Like increased taxes for number of trucks owned or leased over 100. Fines for taking loads for less than 1.60. Company owner's nuts crushed in a vice on you tube for every bridge their driver or lessee takes out...

Went waaaaaay over hours on i80 looking for a open spot. Finally made my own spot at some flying j almost to i29. Even the McDonald's were packed with trucks.

It was all good though, I was headed to Sioux City anyways so I just drove less the next day.

I see drivers from companies of all sizes and owner operators cruising with a phone in hand everyday.

Wouldn't making the Megas pay a tax to provide services for the smaller fleets be considered Socialism?

I don't believe the problem is solely number of available slots.

Do you see how some of these "professional" shlubs park, even when in a marked slot? Crooked, not centered, wheels still cranked one way or the other, headlights on all night. You almost never saw these things fifteen years ago, and it just shows an increasing level of apathy towards professionalism. The less effort one has to make, the better.

No, I won't miss this aspect of trucking. Not one bit.

Is there any hope the President will trash the e-log mandate?
