I've only been to the location they mentioned a couple times, but I've been to Rochester for other loads as well. It's kinda luck of the draw, but it'll happen occasionallyHe'll be on 90 for other cities as well.

Well I continue to get "baptized by fire" in my training lol, we just had a blowout!!! Scared the crap out of me!! Our right rear drive tire, & it messed up the rim too!! I put out the reflector triangles & we have to wait 2 - 2 & 1/2 hours before anyone can get here to start to change the tire & wheel. Not a fun experience, but thankful we pulled over safely, and I'd rather experience my first with a trainer than all alone! It's good thing our delivery time isn't til 0700 Monday, we planned to arrive with time to relax and chill, it's good we have that cushion now!!

Glad you were able to stop safely. I never had a tire blow out until I was on my own. A single drive tire is enough to get your attention. These super singles are enough to wake the dead.
That is one of the many reasons why super singles are the WORST idea. Any fuel economy savings that they claim these tires offer. Are completely put into the negative when you have to replace one. That picture right there is $1300 +/- . You can't nurse the truck off the road to safety. I had one these blow out (one of many) on my drives. It ruined the rim and snapped off my mud flap hanger. Around 1/2 inch of solid steel. I could see the TA. It was walking distance away. I sat there for 2 1/2 hours.
When are the companies that use these going to wake up? They cost more than two dual tires. The rim is the most expensive of all. The lack of traction is my biggest gripe.SESteve83, Suspect Zero and FalconsFan21 Thank this. -
Glad you're ok brotherFalconsFan21 Thanks this.

That rim looks fine to me. Just throw some duck tape on it

For Millis it's more of a weight thing. A super single plus the rim weighs less than duals. Shaving weight for the heavy haul beer loads. It's pretty stunning what the smaller trucks can be loaded up with and still be legal. And I've been in the snow, ice, and rain on those tires with no traction issues.Drivencrazy and FalconsFan21 Thank this.

They must have improved them. I had them back in 2012 - 2014. My truck would get stuck on flat ground. LoL I was at a Lowes Dc in Findlay, Ohio. I stopped at the guard shack and checked in. I go back in the truck and the tires just spun. Locking the diffs didn't matter. Eventually I burned through the ice to pavement. I was then able to rock it to get moving.

I was told they were lighter as well. Kind of hard to believe that one double wide rim is lighter than two. It still sucks that you are dead in the water after a blow out. I have nursed my truck off the road several times when I had dual tires. It has a lot to do with the safety of people who come out and replace the tires. One service truck came out to me near Chambersburg, Pa on I-81. The side of the road is narrow. The traffic wasn't slowing down at all. He drove up to the gas station at the top of the ramp. There was enough room for a semi to get in and out. He asked them if they minded me parking there long enough to replace the tire. He removed my rim and we slowly, very slowly. Drove the half mile to the ramp and park in the gas station. I was at around 72,000 lbs. So we didn't want to over load the other 3 tires.

Well folks, I think this is a wrap. I think it's pretty fair to say that this thread has been hijacked, and is no longer accomplishing it's intended purpose. It is therefore no longer worth the time. It's been fun and I've enjoyed it, but all things must eventually end. I am looking into starting a blog elsewhere. I can't successfully do that here without admin rights over this thread. So, I'll be finding a way to do it on another site, and fulfill Mr Millis's request. If you are a future reader, and interested in Millis, please feel free to send me a private message. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. Obviously that invitation is also extended to anyone who's been following along. If you have been given my phone number or email, feel free to use them. I guess that's it. See y'all later. Be safe out there, keep the rubber side down.
