Send them a certifed letter in writing specifically requesting your records to be send to you.
You will get them when they get around to sending it. And it will likely not be a complete record. Just a couple sheets of generic information without anything good or bad in it. -
How many days do they have to released my driving records??I thought it was 30 what happen after that??
-
I don't know the answer to that question. The only thing I can consider is a trip down to the company HQ in person and ask for a printout of everything they have in their system under your name while you wait. It's far cheaper to get it mailed via a formal written request. By Law they have to comply.

Your driving record is at the DMV, your work record is at the company.

Where is it in the law?
I don't think there is a law that covers work records, there is one for medical records but work records?x1Heavy Thanks this. -
You raise a good point.
Halfway down this page linked here is a OSHA line item pertaining to bad records designed to make the driver look unhireable or similar...

This pDF incorperates information in the Laws as they stand on it's publication.
Page 14 would be where I start reading related to records. I caution you this document is a little dry and I did some light reading but have trouble with the greybeards and greenwaters shipping onto the bridge over the f'c'sle as it were on this boilerplate document...

I'm a little dumbfounded why the company has anything to do with driving record. Isn't it the new company responsibility to obtain their own copy????
-
Well.. I am guessing that it is not the DMV driving record they want... sometimes companies want to know how many miles you drove when you worked for them and stuff..
Companies send out a request for that information to your past employers after you have signed a release of that information for the company that is thinking of hiring you.. depending on the companies.. both past and present.. it can be slow.. especially if they mail it.. it can spend a day or two wait to be sent, then a few to a week in the mail.. then, it may take a couple days in the mail room at the past company before it gets to the person it needs to, who may sit on it a few days until they decide to get your file and copy what they need to send.. where it takes a couple days before being mailed, another week in the mail, another few days before the right person at the new company gets it..
For future reference you can always request a copy of your records when you leave a company.. most companies do an exit interview when you turn your truck in, it is also a good time to ask for a letter of recommendation.. even if your being fired...
Seriously I was going through the paper of one guy I was hiring for a company.. and I notice that he had a glowing recommendation letter from a company that fired him.. so, when I was talking to him one phone I asked him about it.. he laughed, and told me that when he was in the office and the his manager was firing him, he played it up and got his manage feeling bad for and when he knew he had him feeling sorry for him he asked for the letter.. thinking the guy would eith say no or write him one.. and sure enough.. he got a glowing recommendation letter from the manager who was firing him... brilliant...
