If you expand the photo you can see the steering cylinder above the fenders. This one steers front and rear, the one Nate has only steers on the rear axles.

They have bolsters. I have only seen one self steering dolly and that is nice unless you have a sharp turn and the bolts on the bolster snap. Happened twice to the one we had.SAR, PeteyFixAll, johndeere4020 and 2 others Thank this.

Is it tough to get it to track straight again after turning, or does it have some sort of self-centering mechanism?SAR, PeteyFixAll, johndeere4020 and 2 others Thank this.

You just keep moving slowly until you have it straight again. After some experience it gets easier.SAR, PeteyFixAll, johndeere4020 and 2 others Thank this.

It's like everything else, once you get the hang of it, it gets easier. You just keep driving slowly and adjusting until it starts where you want it.
Here is a video that the daughter of my pilot took last summer.

I'm pulling the load. I won't have to steer since it follows just driving around. I'll take some closer photos for you oxbox or the steering setup. This ones pretty straight forward compared to our other self steers.
SAR, PeteyFixAll, passingthru69 and 4 others Thank this. -

Ms Ruby Tuesday. Our lovable old lady. She's bout 10. Sweetest dog. Loves being around people and is very smart. Plays dumb when she thinks she can get away with it. She's a good dog.
Has rode with me on the bench seat in the Peterbilt; kenworth has bostroms which aren't big enough for her to sit on properly. And less steps that are shallower and polished stainless makes it hard for her to get in. And she DOES NOT like to be picked up.Last edited: Apr 1, 2017
