    Lmao.
When I moved to Portland a decade ago my first roomie was a gay dude. He hated 'twinks', called 'em worse things than paranoid straight conservative males call gay people.
Was amusing listening to his rants... '#### ####!'.... 'But, Dave......' Lol.

Having just listened to the conference call I'm wondering what the point of this merger was other than a management change. I find the assertion that everything will stay pretty much the same with Knight and Swift operating as before as two completely separate entities doing business as usual to be suspect. I have to say I predict, with Kevin Knight as CEO and a largely Knight board of directors, significant changes for the Swift side in the near future.

Funny coincidence with this merger is: The Knight family and the Moyes family (Swift) all grew up together in Plain City, Utah before moving to Phoenix.
The Knights started out working for Swift. Randy Knight was actually part owner, until Jerry Moyes bought him out.

I too worked for Knight out of their West Valley, Utah Terminal for six months.
(I left for a lot more money hauling crude and water out in the oil patch).

I live in Ogden, maybe two miles from their old family homes.

I personally don't know, as I'm an infidel.
But, I do know that approximately 80% of the residents of Plain City are Mormon and likely 95% or more back in the 60's .
There's a high probability they are Mormons.
I'll ask my neighbor. He grew up with them. He's Mormon. He shared with me a few stories of the Knight cousins and Moyes family.

Market share ... size matters. I went through this over a 25 year career in telecom. Ultimately there will be only 3 major players and 4th deformed step child. Everyone else will be a niche player.

Happened to the banking industry, happened to the airlines is happening to the truck stops.

It'll take years to play out. It's the reason Schneider went public, so they can play in the sand box.
