I would speed if I could, man. However my only opportunities are in areas where it would be stupid or dangerous to do so. I've made peace with being a turtle.
That said I've had dreams about flying across Nebraska at night. Good dreams.

Exactly. When you're paid by the hour, speeding is your enemy and traffic jams are your friend.JReding Thanks this.

It's hard for me to speed being governed at 65. I will keep it at 70 going down hill if I have the weight and the speed is 70.
Going into construction zones I tend to ease into the speed limit depending on traffic, time of day etc.
On 90/94 in WI there are a few spots that go to one lane. I drive this route every other day so I know that the troopers will sit right around the corner, not every time, but enough times that I go 55 -57.
On the 694 in St Paul it's 60. I have found it is just easier to get through going the speed limit, but I will speed up if needed (or slow down). -
No is a liar and sometimes is the same as yes. Stop drinking outta your pee bottle. Answer is because I can.

"No" is a liar? Are you willing to back that up if those that answered that call you out? How do you know they're lying, do you have some evidence?
And I'm gonna guess, but "yes" probably means always, and "sometimes" means (wait for it...) sometimes.EZ Money Thanks this. -
Loosen up your jockstrap, scooter. Sometimes is yes. Period. Ever done 21 in a schoolzone? 56 in a 55? 5 in a 3? 1 mph in od line?

I'm paid hourly and I'm not working like that. I have better things to do than gravitate toward traffic jams in the name of milking the clock.48Packard, Slowpoke KW, Lepton1 and 3 others Thank this.

I agree completely, but in your case I'll make the exception.
Have you ever heard of something called degrees? Yes, sometimes, no?
You can find it anywhere you find a poll. -
Sometimes you don't have a choice, though. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest...

I'm a turtle too with a heavy load on board. Thankfully that doesn't happen very often.
