So after all the thinking, I have decided to go to Mclane foodservice.

Starting on Monday, and I'm little excited and worried at the same time, mainly just not sure if I will be able to handle the physical work, I'm pretty fit, 5'10 175lbs, I workout regularly bench press around 220lbs for few reps is not a problem I know it's different.

I will keep updating this thread.

The first week or two you will be sore but once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. Just don't overdo it that's how you get burned out or hurt. Slow and steady wins the race!

Most guys (and it's almost 99.999999% men) doing food service are in their 40's. You'll be fine.

You'll probably be the youngest guy there. You'll earn every penny of it, but you'll work hard and make bank. That's a fair trade.

I'm an old man 5'10" 230 lbs and have back and neck trouble. And bad asthma and half a bicep muscle on right arm. I've unloaded 40,000 pounds of freight from many trailers many times by myself so you should be just fine.

Trust me you'll be fine. I came off OTR of 5 years. Out of shape. 5'6" 268lbs mid 30's. I was able to hack it. It's more cardio then anything. I was hitting the gym still and doing FS. It dropped my weight to 220lb. FS gave me start I needed to lose weight I'm 194lbs in the gym still at 39.

Congrats keep us posted I might be heading there too.

It's that 50lb bag of onions you move around all day, which doesn't go anywhere in the end, which is a blessing. The dock guys just throw it on there because they know you want to get a good workout.

You can tell this man has done food service. Cuz it's always a bag of onions and it doesn't matter what the company name is on the outside. All the warehouse workers are the same.
