Boattlebot Thanks this. -
I don't know I thought there were two, i consider this a preventable because you blocked traffic and to tell you a little secret, this is a public forum and sometimes when people expose their driving records, it is picked up by those potential companies and employers and not hard to put together the app to the online name.

Well a quick search has shown he's been in the ditch twice and got himself into a pickle where he couldn't get turned around and needed help summoned by his company.
Now he may only list this as one...but it's not. Besides he will have to explain the "fired for an incident in training" and the likely "not eligible for rehire"
But unfortunately bottom feeders have a truck ready and waiting for him and now he potentially wants to haul hazmat or be responsible for load securment? Oh boy.lagbrosdetmi and Heritage11 Thank this. -
Yep I thought so, to me both are preventables in my book, no excuse for 45 minutes of blocking traffic.
Yep my thoughts exactly, it is sad (not a reflection on the OP) that we have people who shouldn't be on the road in a car driving a truck with hazmat material on board and they will never be safe.lagbrosdetmi Thanks this. -
I have no issue admitting I screwed up.
Just glad it's not listed as preventables as all. Means I get to atleast explained what happened and how I learned from it.austinmike, tinytim and Chinatown Thank this. -
Usually in industry lingo anytime you leave pavement, need a hook, or strike any stationary object, whether damage or not it is a preventable. It may not show up on MVR, Dac, etc. But if prospective employer verifies employment history with previous companies it might be listed as preventable. I'm sure there have been a handful of decent drivers that were told not to worry, and then were raked over coals by such an incidentSuspect Zero and Boattlebot Thank this.

There are drivers who did not have the rough start in their careers like you did. As a result, some of them start to believe, little by little, they walk on water. Now these are the time bombs.
What I'm saying is, a man should certainly learn from his past but he doesn't have to be chained to it and doomed to repeat it over and over.
So if you learned from your experience and can apply it in the future, then yeah, do what you honestly believe is best. Just keep an eye out for those soft shoulders in addition to any other potential hazards.TROOPER to TRUCKER, Just passing by, KillingTime and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'll look and see if I can find my guide and actual practice tests when I got the endorsement a couple years ago, the hazmat test was easier (thanks NY) lol
