I put them down on anything up to a 50 ton Linkbelt for the simple reason the smaller cranes seem to bounce more than the bigger ones, and they dont hang over the edge of my 10' wide. Also like JD said, I don't want to make a 11'6" wide crane 13'wide by putting the outrigger pads down. I have never heard any of our mechanics blame a blown out seal on transporting them with the pads down.

I agree, fat girls all the way to the back. I can scale a 65 that way but 75 and up I need a "Beyond Annual" permit because I have over 70,000 on drives and pusher.Oxbow Thanks this.

It looks like you blew a seal. No, that is just ice cream.

Do you scope out any boom?Oxbow Thanks this.

Usually 4'. Part of the problem is my tractor weighs in at 26,500. The heaviest one in Milwaukee is 27,000 and change. They don't like moving the big cranes in one piece unless it is local move. Anything farther than 30 minutes they send the counterweight seperately
passingthru69, Oxbow and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
Interesting.

I haul the same ones all the time. I chain them down, then run pads down till they just touch if they are on trailer. On oil leaks yet. This may be bad luck posting this.
