Ashley Furniture-what a joke

It was cool for the first 6 months, since the new year things have been just beyond crazy. I mean Idk how things are at other drop lots but I have notice it's much more LTL openings lately.. Things #### sure changed at ours.

It's not a really bad gig and it could be so much better if they altered some things but my god. It just wears down on you after a while... But doing every other week rotations in Leesport and not getting the remote trailer pay was about to be the nail in coffin.

 

So, can I stop praying and just PM you?

 

Yeah I've been very lucky to never have to go to Leesport when I was PTP. I was forewarned the horror up there and I'm aware it's not any better.

Our LTL openings are simply due to growth. I'm not sure about Mesquite but I can say at the other Texas yards nobody is leaving those jobs.

 

Even 48 isn't enough sometimes. That's what I get at my company currently, but that 48 starts the moment you log off duty, so if you get home Friday afternoon, you're expected back in the truck Sunday afternoon, giving you only one true full day off.

 

Man.....i would feel like a kid in a candy store if i had a 34 off a week....im usually out 3 or 4 months at a time...by choice to get ahead of the game.....

 

I have a friend who runs the same way. I don't know how you guys do it. After 5 to 6 days, I need to get out of the truck for a bit and pursue "civilian" activities...lol

 

I'll either go local at the end of the year...or do otr til im 30....havent decided yet.....if i did it til i was 30...id be way ahead in life

 

What is remote trailer pay?

 

Extra money for running out of a different yard than your own

 

@hawkjr Do you know if you guys contract out here out West?
