Failure? There is a way to maximum your profits. You're wrong and yes I am calling you a liar. You know why? It's because you keep on posting despite knowing the truth. If I tell you how many trucks or how big my brokerage is, would you believe me? Chances are no. You know why because you only want to listen or read what you wanna believe. You're arrogant and that all. It's sad because either you will fail so badly that you will come work for people that know about maximum profit, or you will go find a job. Another tip I want to give you just because you're a trucker and I still Respect truckers and drivers. The tip is, find customers. My major customer in California is Lowes. I do all drop and hooks for efficiency and profits. I am my own brokerage. You know how I am my own brokerage? It's because I have costumers. BTW my customers are on contract. I don't find loads a day to day base. I made my own Loadboard with my own customers. That's how my dispatchers work. Also, I'll be honest. Right now I dispatch for my uncle's company. Successful company with over 300 truck fleets and 600 dry van trailers.

So your uncle with his own successful trucking business gave you a job as a dispatcher. I see. So you really have no practical hands on experience. I have no reason to lie about any of this. I'm out here doing it every day for over 6 years now. My contracts are day to day and I like it that way.

Welcome! Listen everything I am saying is the truth and it's hurting failures on this forum that think they have it figured out. Does not matter what I am. What I am saying is making sense. If you think you can operate a successful business with load boards and brokerages then you're are dumb that is deceiving yourself. How dumb that a job title will deviate you from common sense and the main idea.

Somehow I've figured out how to earn a comfortable living with my one truck working pretty much exclusively with brokers. You don't even run your own trucks let alone one truck and say it can't be done.

The spot market is what you make of it. For some (like rollin coal) there is a system to be worked where you get paid more for working spot freight than you get paid for regular freight... But for most it's just a way of getting back to the freight that actually pays the bills.

Most of the better trucking companies I deal with have a regular customer in their home area that loads them going out with decent freight, and then they use the spot market to get as close to home for as good of money as possible. They also build good relationships with brokers so that they don't get screwed with too hard and make top money (for the load board) without having to work very hard on covering their back hauls.

It's a tool like any other. Misuse it and it'll put you out of business. Running 100% of your loads off the board without a specific strategy you are working is a pretty good way to go out of business in my opinion.

I've been doing it for 10 years! 85% is brokered freight. Some years were rough, some years I made a killing! I have currently ytd. Grossed $117,000 in 4 months. So don't run around and say a blanket statement, because you don't think it so. You have no clue what others are doing.

Working any business without a strategy will put you out of business.
