Why would anyone only want a 48 when they live in their truck? To me anything less than 60" is too small. When you stay in a truck for more than just a couple days, 48" would close in on ya in a hurry.pathfinder Thanks this.

The Columbia/Century is available with either a 34" or 48" mid roof sleeper.
-
As far as I care any sleeper closes in on ya in a hurry!!!!
-
I was home everyday and have a 86"
-
I would take a kw anyday
, just a quick question? i had heard that the crapcadia was taking over the centry class. But are they still going to make the columbia? or is the crapscadia taking over both?

Why do companies like McClane use 51in sleepers, Walmart use 56 and 58in sleepers, even JB Hunt and SNI use 58in mid roof and Paper Transport? TJ tilcox drove a 56in flatroof FLD in season 1 of Iceroad truckers.

Both. I like the Century but the cascadia wins hands down for aerodynamics. Freightliner did something smart by pairing that with the DD15.

despite what 550 said, I am right on this...
FLD was replaced by Columbia (there were a couple years of overlap butFLD was done in 2002). Columbia was a scaled back Century but same basic cab and frame.
Coronado is based on Century/Columbia cab and it too will be done in 2010
Cascadia is a totally new and incredibly quiet and fuel efficient, strong cab that is replacing Columbia/Century in 2010 but is already overtaking those 2.
Our dealer says there will be a replacement to the Coronado built on the Cascadia cab.
I believe the 9400i replaced the 9400....which replaced the 9300 in the '90s....which replaced the 4300 in like '89
9200 came in 1993 and was replaced by 9200i.....both the 9200 and 9400 i are being replaced by ProStar but it's already overtaken them
International and Freightliner production are very similar
like them or hate them they are both efficient, cost effective trucks....and both the ProStar and Cascadia are upgrades -
Dave66,
I cant wait to see what Freightliner has for the Coronado replacement. Should be interesting.
