You're better off without the megas anyway.

What surprises me, is that people keep working there, under those awful conditions. The company is not small, they have over 150 trucks. Anyway, folks - just wanted to share my experience. I hope it will save some folks a lot of wasted time and money.

But why would you work for 7 different similar companies. After 2-3 strikes maybe a change of pace would have been nice, tbh if I see 7 companies in the last 3 months and I'm the hiring manager I am passing you up because of the fear you are a problem js.. Gl and keep trying, no more Russian owned 1099 type companies out of cj Illinois with a bad history

You guys make it seem like it's the new driver's fault that there are seedy companies who have their own ways of taking advantage just like the megas.

I didn't go to driving school and got my CDL by borrowing a friend's tractor-trailer. I got pulled into these small companies the same week I got my license. Not to make it seem like it wasn't my fault at all- I happen to have more pride than the average person who has no reason to have it.

But there's only so much a man can take. You want me to deliver at 2am and drive a lot of [edit] miles in a 24 hr period- I've done that and that wasn't the reason I walked away. It's the not paying me and leaving me stranded at a random fuel station overnight because you haven't paid your bills. Or how about hiring me as OTR and then making me hot-shot within 700 miles of Chicago for 2 weeks and making me drive beaters around Chicago doing intermodal for an hourly wage when you feel like it?

As a new driver, you find out soon enough that if a dispatcher's mouth is open, then he's lying. It took me a few shady companies one autumn in Chicago to find that out and a few sorry outfits in El Paso as well. And one of those outfits was in Broadview as well, so that's what jogged my interest here.

I finally found a relatively decent human being to work for and I've been driving with this company for exactly 1 year now. Doesn't pay even the average cpm and no benefits.

Don't plan on doing this much longer.

This ain't my thread so I'll end it there. Thanks for the heads up OP.

My humble opinion is finding a trucking company that suit your needs is like finding a girl you just need to choose carefully and if it don't meet your criteria off you go somewhere else, Just what other driver posted here for every 1 driver who hates his position there's 50drivers that enjoys their position.

Looks like someone wants to spoil the reputation of the company. I've been working here for long time and I don't remember anyone working for 3 months coming from other state! In a company type like Real Trucking, all workers know each other. Please, keep in mind that all the review that we can find on the Internet can be or ARE fake. There is no proof that the posted information is truthful. Real Trucking Inc has coped with a lot of such mythical reviews. We would like to recommend everyone not to hesitate and ask our drivers directly when have an opportunity. Real Trucking will never hire anyone to post positive reviews on purpose. The relationships between the workers are based on mutual trust.

    You don't say...
