HP2000 apu

The units in question were on 2015-2016 model trucks, however I do not know when the units were made. The biggest issue was the control module/touch screen for inside the truck going bad and being a pricey fix. A number of units also developed oil and freon leaks because the units would literally rattle themselves apart.

 

I see now they are offering a 5 year/6000 hour warranty standard. Any other experience with this unit? Info would be appreciated.

 

I have one. I believe it's the first generation. When it works it does well. No major problems. They relays in it last 1 1/2 years. It's the ac or blower relays. You can get some parts local. Soon I will be up grading my unit. It is easy to work on.

 

Buyer Beware
Unit does not get cold.Little over a year old and parks industries now refuses to fix this unit.Only thing that works is battery tender.Everthing in the brochure is bs.No one has parts to fix them and no one works on them.If you need more info email me at sbull2005@comcast.net park industries needs to be stopped for selling this junk in a box.

i just instaled hp2000 extreme and only i request to remove heat because my truck western star 5700ex have built in webasto,so i did install with chrome covers they have coldest ac i ever had -10 was read after 1 our running,and i have kohler engine instead perkins they are 3horse power stronger,so will see but look like they are busy and lot of people do not follow right maintenance on unit so i did see in shop lot of used termo kings,and others people trade for 2000,so will post and let you know how is going further
Every engine rattle a little bit so you need to tight some screw's after a while and want to be no leak, it is all about how you will check your engine and preventive any leaks if it starts,i am not affiliated with them whatsoever but i decide on this engine after heavy reviews,i can tell you every unit had good and bad reviews,it depends on how much luck you have.

 

Now that you have had it a while, how is it? I am looking at getting one in the next month or so and am looking at these guys.
