They could very well hire you for being a truthful person.
At least you won't have the stress of being accused of falsifying an application and being terminated for it.
Good luck to you! God bless you and your family!
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
OTR & LTL - over the mountains - through the woods - coast to coast - sea to shining sea
The OTR & LTL truck drivers of America are positively the driving force of our economy. -
Tb0n3, Leftlane101, Evox760 and 1 other person Thank this.

Take the good advice, don't hide it. You don't want a surprise route to the terminal or have that thought in the back of your mind all the time. There are plenty of drivers out there with worse records. You don't want some crap on your DAC if you get found.
pattyj and born&raisedintheusa Thank this. -
Being truthful and upfront is indeed the right thing to do,but on the other hand I don't tell them at least I make some money before being let go instead of being let go over a phone before even being hired.

And like I've stated many of times I've went and called the courts with my drivers license and my social security number and the courts have no record of it.
Even if it was in proccessing or stacked somewhere in files wouldn't it still be in the computer records or somewhere on file in there data base? -
You are still much better off telling the whole truth. You do NOT want any documentation put into a file of being any type of liar whatsoever.
It is the equivalent of having the record of a convicted felon. It stays with you for a long time to come, if not for life.
You are able to earn a living and pay the bills.
If worse comes to worse, you may have to work at another job for a certain number of years to get that speeding ticket behind you, depending upon the trucking companies, anywhere from 3 to 10 years.
In the mean time, do everything possible to drive safely and avoid getting any more tickets for as long as possible.
NOTE:
I myself am in the position of NOT being able to pass a D.O.T. physical, to be able to go to a truck driving school to learn how to drive a truck. This means that I currently cannot drive professionally, OTR or LTL.
I am working very hard to improve my health, every which way possible, HOPING to be able to eventually pass a D.O.T. physical.
In the mean time, I recently hit my 10 year mark at my current job, (since 4/17/2007).
I also hit my 10 year mark of no violations, (speeding tickets, running red lights, failure to yield right of way, and passing a school bus with it's red flashers on).
This year will be my 3rd. year of no accidents, (no fault accident in 2014, no fault accident in 2010, no fault accident in 1997, and an at fault accident in 1995).
In the mean time, I am still working towards the goal of eventually becoming an OTR truck driver, HOPING to be able to drive all 48 states and Canada. I am current 60, will be 61 this year.
Good luck to you! God bless you and your family!
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
