I pay 500 month.. we agreed on this while I was still in army.. but the court said that if she wants a copy of my w2 each year I have to give her one.. if their is a 15pct increase in pay or something like that then then if she takes it back to court the court will raise support.. but my ex doesn't ask for nothing.. if she ever does I will quit work an live off my disability pay that I'm pretty sure the court can't base support off of.. that would put my support pay down to 50 or so bucks if not working a month.. she happy with the 500 I think

What state are you in?

Minnesota

Depends on state support was filed in. Quit driving go work low paying job get reduced in court then once reduced go back to driving...if she takes you back to court quit again just keep cycle going til she gives up if payments are too high

It's income.
Also your CDL is on the line. Fail to pay CS, lose the CDL.bzinger and BigTennOTR Thank this. -
Your statement of quit working jyst rubs me wrong. You would rather not work to punish the ex when you are really punishing the child for your ex and your inability to get along. I pay 1200 a month for one child and I don't think twice about it because it is for my daughter. Daughter has to have a roof, food, and clothes. Brother inlaw has avoided regular jobs for 20 years to avoid support payments and his kids despise him for it.x1Heavy, BoostedTeg, FireLotus and 8 others Thank this.

Kids didn't ask to be born....
Choose your mate wisely... Fairest way to do it is to put the child's needs above your petty desire to control her after you break up. Stay married and work on that if you need a say. -
It's the other parents responsibility as well. My bills including food are only 1500/month.
A kid isn't a free ride for the custodial. I pay my share, but I'm not buying my ex a Lexus.Last edited by a moderator: Sep 2, 2018
