    Well, at least they could have left off the 0.3 detail without much danger to the airwaves.

    I can picture them arguing in a hearing about whether the radios were a legal 155.2 miles apart or an illegal 155.3 miles.

    I guess the extra tenths make it all look so precise and pristine.

    Guess the fcc/government will be telling us how many times the toilet can be flushed in your house...and they'll monitor it. Oh well it'll give them something to do......

    You all need to read about the history of CB and what happened back in the early 60's that gave us some of these 'regulations'.

    At one time you could build your own CB and have 20 watts out to the antenna but you could not sit there and talk on it much. It was like living in the dark ages.

    Considering the furthest anybody I know can talk ground wave is about 135 miles 7 days a week it would stand to reason that anything above 155 miles would probably involve Sky wave propagation due to the curvature of the Earth.
    I think that's what they were trying to restrict.
