Possible New Driver

OP...Write me a check for 6k and I'll help you get your CDL and get you a local job for 20 an hour. After 6 months I'll get you a job for 65k with bennies and you'll work 5/2 5/3. That's a way better deal than you'll get from going otr.

 

If this 65 G's is for 40 (FORTY!) hours/week I might be interested.And I already have CDL so no need to wait six months.
That's another thing OP,they are telling you $65,75,100 k but you need to divide it by half as you will be working 70h a week and where is premium for being far from home?You already make that money without risk and headache associated with trucking.

 

That's where 2 sets of bills come in and paying taxes in 2 states. Yeah big money alright. Maybe for uncle sam.

 

40 hours...sorry, down south Texas we consider that part-time and that will get you fired. My dispatcher gets bent out of shape if I don't run 15 everyday.

 

If you live in a major city because you have young kids look into p&d work like YRC, ABF, etc...get a union job so you can spend time with them on weekends

 

But you do know that in civilized places it's considered FULL time?
Seems like you guys are stuck in 19 century capitalism.

 

Those days are coming to an end. Slowly the gov will be in every aspect of your life. Smart tvs,cell phs and elogs. Cars too.

PAPER LOGS .We both know what it means right?Now divide 67k by ALL the hours you been out minus hours you slept.Does it still look impressive?I doubt it.
