I will haul any load, anywhere, at anytime. I ENJOY challenges. I have been through NYC many times. Unfortunately I have not yet had the privilege of delivering or picking up a load in the city. If I do I know I will be paid VERY WELL for that service.
Turn on your CB. Figure out your correct lane. Use Google Maps and Satellite View for your location.
For God's sake stay at the speed limit.

I just enjoyed a drive through yellowstone..no thanks.
BigTennOTR and Lepton1 Thank this. -
When I opened this thread I was hoping to hear about mobsters in toll booths, extorting extra dough from unsuspecting innocent motorists. I guess using the word "racketeering" was a bit misleading.
diesel drinker, x1Heavy, bzinger and 2 others Thank this. -
I run into Elmsford, Maspeth and up north in Orange County all the time. I cannot stand running NY. People drive like morons (nearly as bad as Jersey) and they love to write tickets for not having your stupid little HUT sticker.
-
You got tickets for breaking the law and we are supposed to feel sorry for you?
Sorry dude, no sympathy here. You may not like the law, but you are still supposed to follow it. And not doing it while playing "professional"? That's even worse.bzinger Thanks this. -
Good Lord you would cry your panties right off in the Colorado scales that say 2 mph. Bah forget their stupid "speed limits". Grab a gear and disappear.

2mph?? Never saw that kind of speed limit in my 10 years. Cry my panties off??Not that I care much - but I think I would get more sympathy driving naked while using that seatbelt. ...
To all you guys who replied to this thread: - THANK YOU !
And please - don't forget to buckle up !!!

There one evening on the upper deck tolls eastbound Verazano, there were signs that told us of severe crime potential in the absolutely CLOSED TOLLS. Additional signs cautioned us to pass at best speed.
I came through there at something beyond 80, it was all that the white's speedo would read. I made final adjustments in aim before shooting the chute between that curbing. BOOOM.
I saw three shadows diving down the steps.
I hope I took each of their 8 lives that night leave them with the 9th to do better and think over the error of their ways. -
The lack of seat belt is what set the chain of events in motion. I've had a situation where I was in a rural area, the business I was picking up at had both sides of the street. No signs for shipping/receiving. Of course I went to the wrong side. Jumped back in my truck and drove across the street. Unmarked Barney Fife saw that I had no seat belt on (Normally I always have it on, but was just driving across the street) came in behind me and used that to check logs, and do a level 1. Wrote me up for not wearing my seatbelt.
As much as you dispike the seatbelt,.. you should just put it on for your own safety's sake. After a while you get used to it and feels unnatural when you dont have it on. Kinda like wearing a watch or a ring. You know when its not there,.. doesnt feel right. Same with the seat belt.
Having gone through the windshield as a passenger of a vehicle that was hit head on. Its no fun being ejected from a vehicle. I had to learn the hard way,.. seat belts do save lives.
