    Dad is improving but still getting his strength back. Mother, not very good. She's been in afib all day and they can't seem to get that under control. To keep more strokes at bay they're pumping her full of blood thinners which is causing trouble with her o2 levels. Very worried about her to tell the truth.

    Are they able to stop the fibrillations with drugs, or does it take electrcardioversion? Have they tried ablations, or a pacemaker, or are these contraindicated by her condition?

    At this point and in her condition, any type of.invasive procedure is out of the question. At.this.point they are using iv heart medication to try and slow her heart rate down and reestablish a normal rhythm. I am told this is the course they intend to follow at least through tonight. I guess all I can do is wait and pray.
