I think Drivers Solutions & Transformed are big driver temp services in my area. Someone has a temp service in most areas.

There are two people who return to trucking. Those who have fallen on their head and the OP. I would welcome the OP to come back and roll the the white line.

Rotary phones, the "phone room" at the truck stop, and the 10 AM check call......

Schneider called me today. I have an interview Tuesday. If I clear all the screening hurdles, I got the job. Dedicated Midwest regional tanker.

Wow.....didn't expect a call so fast. I've been chasing down other companies' recruiters by phone all month.

I guess be careful what you wish for.....:D

I'm looking forward to this. I'm just still in shock!

I was in the same boat as the OP, but kept my CDL 12 years experience 10 years off driving. It took me about 3 weeks to get a job. Called or email everyone on Craigslist as I was more interested in local work. Ended up getting a job with a mail contractor.
Something will come up. Contact every company you are interested in even if they ask for recent experience in their add.
Best advice I got when quite driving was "keep your CDL you never know when you'll need it"
    Good luck.

Awesome, all that hard work is about to pay off. You shouldn't have any trouble clearing the hurdles, just remember to jump high enough. LOL. I am still looking around here and trying to decide for certain what is the best route. I know for sure step one is to get the CDL first and foremost.

Thanks for the advice. I am sure I could get on with the last local company I drove for but like I said in an earlier post, don't know if I want to jump back into flatbeds. They do have some van work, but it is pretty limited as far as I know. Yeah, I am still kicking my own butt over letting my CDL go but at the time I couldn't see spending the money to keep it when I wasn't using it at all. Just had to get off my butt and go get a physical from a certified doctor so would have been pretty easy too. Live and learn I guess. LOL.

Well, had my interview, got shot down by the Great Pumpkin.

She gave me the whole spiel about the job, then asks me about the ticket last year when I got in a wreck in my car. I put it on my app, they shoulda known. So we get down to that part and it's "Sorry, the ticket has to be five years old".

WTF? Why didn't you say so when I put in the app?!?

Welp, gotta bait the hook again.....

O dang it anyhow. Sorry to hear that. Yeah, kinda makes you mad when they pull that crap at the last minute like that. Makes you wonder if they even bothered to read your app in the first place. Could have saved you some headache. Keep trying I guess and good luck.
