Guys sorry but i have to disagree worh you.
Musk is Nicola Tesla of XXI century,
Look on spaceX ? Everybody was laughing when he wanted to builed spaceship with 0 good knowledge about it, Boeing, NASA everybody was telling him its impossible! Where is NASA now? Yep discovering ####y planets to whom nobody will fly in next 500 years! Yet SpaceX already made few good landings ON A PLATFORM IN OCEAN!
PAYPAL - everybody now its name, snd everybody was laughing too when they hear about online banking without singe branch ! Who invented it? YES MUSK!
TESLA - 0 knowledge in building cars BUT he's car already smarter then Fords, and Mercedes with 100 years of history.
HyperLoop - again everybody lauged when he suggests that idea fee years ago, now there is already some tests going in this direction!

So yeah, keep laughing at a guy who made millions not cause of parents (hello Trump) but cause he smarter then anyone on this forum!Yet you sitting here and with you 100k and think about things which you never will understand!

Nikolaone is pretty interesting. Hydrogen fuel cells to charge batteries, 800 to 1200 mile range then refuel with natural gas. Ive read 7000 people put down deposits to lease.

Same place they've ALWAYS been- broke and on the front page for their failures way more than their few successes.

And who's laughing at musk? Everyone's been respectful. There's no denying he makes questionable decisions. As I said earlier, "time will tell". No need to get all snippy about it. Lol.

Musk makes controversial decisions..... not necessarily questionable. People said you couldn't land the first stage of a rocket, he did it in a few years, on a (relatively) tiny budget.

people said electric cars would never satisfy drivers and would never sell. Musk built the #1 car EVER reviewed by consumer reports and has a waiting list for everything he can possibly produce.

Of course there will be bumbles along the way, but as far as achieving major milestones, I would not bet against him.....

We'll see soon enough. Tesla semi truck should be revealed within a year.....

He has a waiting list because he can't get the car produced.

The ability to build an eclectic/ solar car has never been an issue ( look at the photo in the original post). The ability to mass produce one that doesn't suck is the issue. Look at it this way, you can lace your house with solar panels and you'll get enough power to charge your laptop. Yet a cup of gasoline will blow the house up. Gasoline is just more efficient than electric / solar/ or any other alternative form of energy (excluding nuclear).

And don't even get me started on the amount of energy the tesla plant requires to make these "energy efficient " cars.

Hey, you think it's gonna work, I respect your opinion. I'll leave it at that

There is no conspiracy by old guys and established corporations. You either build a product that the market can sustain or you can't. The secret to musks success is that he is good at convincing burocrats and policy makers into investing tax money on his ideas.

Back to trucks, battery capacity will always be the limiting factor, and we're nowhere near what we'd need for trucks. We've already made large advances to get to where we are now, and what we have now is nowhere near practical.

Hydrogen fuels would be interesting, and there is a lot of work being done there, but there is very little current infrastructure.

That being said, if they were to announce an electric truck that had the range to make it one day for me, I'd drive one no problem. I like torque.

All the trucking industry needs is the government to give special exceptions to freight companies that run these trucks to be overweight to account for all the extra payload space those batteries take up and they'll take off. Won't be hard to buy off politicians.

UMMM, the truck he is building in 2,000 lbs lighter that a comparable tractor and has 1200 mile range. It also has a CG (Center of Gravity) that is as low as the axles, 4x6 wheel drive so it should be superior in snow and rain than conventional drivetrains. 7 SEVEN year bumper to bumper warranty, including batteries, you will also never pay for fuel.

Why not go to the website and read and comprehend, then come back with an informed opinion? https://nikolamotor.com/one
