The DOT in AZ sure wanted to see one.
-
If there's one thing I learned very quickly about Maryland after moving here from VA, it's that there is NOTHING efficient or clear about bureaucratic processes here.
The government website is FULL of "that page is not found" links and the ones that do work are so ###### vague that it looks like a room full of cigarette smoking monkeys put them together.
But then I had to use the VA DMV website to order my driving/license record and I was done in 10 minutes, and that included entering all of my card info!
In the end, Maryland does not appear to offer anything like VA does. This state makes it so ###### difficult to start a business. -
This seems to be the winning set-up. Understood that AZ wanted to see the "not for hire" sign but others may not. I'll just make one up and keep it in the sleeper in case it's needed.
Now, where to get the temporary insurance.... -
I'm keeping a log, just in case, and swinging by the coops...just in case.
-
That's a good idea. I had a DOT insist my guy had to have a log to bobtail 4 minutes down the road to a shop. I tried arguing but he threatened us with a full inspection.
-
Why do you say this? I am in the process of purchasing a truck and am going to be driving it to the company I am leasing on with, I was told by them to place "Not for Hire" sign in the window....tallmon Thanks this.
-
Roger. Understood.
Any leads on an insurance company that offers temp secondary liability? OOIDA cannot offer it in MD! -
HAHA! Doesn't that suck when you know your sense of "that doesn't make sense" is accurate but the "man" says otherwise?! But, I suppose the law is the law.
-
That begs the question... why the hell did you move there in the first place? It doesn't sound like a very friendly place to be.
