I worked part time at night for Wells Fargo Armored driving a truck, worked about 20 hours a week to supplement my income.
We were talking about how they never paid OT. One guy was bragging about how he would never work full time for them I asked knowingly " How many hours did you work last week ? "
His answer.....72
COCA-COLA?

I had the same company's head hunter email me. Asked if I was interested in a driving job.
I know what the drivers go though. I told him I was a Driver not a salesman or merchandiser or a cashier nor do I stock shelves.
They want to pay for a driver and get all the rest for free. -
Been down this road before. Everybody wants the local job till they get it.
Then most realize real quick that they're working harder,
Longer hours for less money and less quality time off.
Typical day for a local truck driver is 12 to 15 hours.
Throw in the commute bank and forth to work and it all
Adds up to a big pile of poop.
Heres what I do to avoid these no life work like dog local jods.
I apply as part time. I tell them I can only work 4 days a week in a row. Any 4 in row they want. But that's it.
I don't want that 5th 15 hour day.
Your gonna work 55 to 60 hours in the 4 days anyway.
But at least you'll have some type of a life with your 3 days off.
This isn't a demand, I make sure everybody understands
Before I take the job. They can take it or leave it.
And I've left some because I wouldn't work 75 hours a week at a local job.DAX_, Friday, driverdriver and 2 others Thank this. -
Not every local gig is that way
metallifreak10, AModelCat, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
I do get overtime.Im thankful for that, but I'm being honest when I say I'm just burnt out
after I get to ot.
I appreciate all the replys.Im not ungrateful, but I cant seem to get enough rest,or caught
up on my sleep.
My commute to and from is in my 10 hr.I did start running a log, whether they require it,or not.
I'm not screwing up,and they can have my dirty logs.
They require I start my route at the same time, but often I'm running into reset issues.
Oh well...was looking for a job when I found this one
Guess I will find another!Getsinyourblood, Lonesome and SHOJim Thank this. -
How far away is your work from home?
-
No doubt. I start at 4:30 AM, usually done by 2.passingthru69 and KillingTime Thank this.
