####. Really? I suppose I wouldn't beat someone for stealing fuel. I'd probably rob them of everything on them. Seems fair.

I beg to differ, good sir.

But I did quote you out of context and for the most part, agree.

I learned my lesson and I don't sit in the driver's lounge anymore....But here's the best story I've heard so far:
"My stepfather was in the special forces but didn't talk about it much. But he did let me know that he was there when Anwar Sadat was assassinated and he was dressed as an Egyptian soldier. He also hinted that he was the one that threw the grenade."

Also, when I was in school, one of the instructors told the story about being forced to run over a car in NYC. Of course, he didn't hit it, but "you couldn't have fit a nickel between my truck and that car".

This is why I prefer to just spend my off time in the truck. It's always the same BS stories just in a different location and different company name on the truck.

And a veteran myself, and the ones I personally know, don't just openly talk about what we did in the military. Most civilians don't understand and will condemn you for actions they could never comprehend.

To me one of the worst things to ask a veteran, currently serving or current/former law enforcement is have you ever killed someone. That is one of the most disrespectful things to ask someone. What does it matter if the person has or not?

You know, these tellers of tales are the same ones who are grabbing a bag full of fatty cakes and a big gulp soda and heading out the door to their worn out, beat up old Pete 379 with the paint peeling off. All while mumbling incoherently about the good old days in high school when they could've gone to the State football championship game if it wasn't for the crooked referee...

--"C'mon, man, gimme something to wear".

The difference between a fairy tale and a a war story??
A fairy tale starts out " once upon a time ", a war story starts out with, " this ain't no ####!".

So when do stories about trucker tales become their own trucker tales?

"I once met this guy that had such a whopper of a story...."
