Do you have to be a professional driver to sleep in the trucker lounge.

Which trucker lounge do you speak of? It's been my experience the last 3 or 4 years you don't need to be a professional to drive the truck, so I can't see needing to be a professional to sleep in the lounge.

If any person decided to sleep in the drivers lounge, do you think anyone would wake them up to see their CDL?
    No. It would never happen.

As a 15 year driver I find myself in between two worlds. Older drivers call me a baby and new drivers consider me an experienced one.
I'm now facing the first time I've ever had an issue with air conditioning. My previous contract was terminated and I turned in my rental truck and decided to go to work for a small company because I'm not really good in a corporate environment. But my new employer has been slow to repair anything that isn't a "safety" issue. I can shut my truck down all winter and sleep just fine in my sleeping bag. But I can't sleep in this heat. I'm getting headaches and generally not really wanting to work.
Any advice on dealing with an old timer who doesn't want to fix AC? Actually says I'm being a baby and that they used to not have any of these amenities.

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
